The March for Compassion Video Series – Christine Emerson


This is part of the March for Compassion video series highlighting the importance of medical marijuana for Christine Emerson, a pediatric nurse practitioner of Rochester, New York, and her daughter, Julia, a 7 year old child who suffers from refractory epilepsy. Julia’s family is calling for the NY senate to support the Compassionate Care Act – an act that will bring comprehensive medical marijuana to NY State and help thousands of New Yorkers, with serious medical conditions, access the treatment they need to improve their daily lives.

The March for Compassion Video Series – Donna Oliver


This is part of the March for Compassion video series highlighting the importance of medical marijuana for Donna Oliver, lifelong resident of Syracuse, New York. Donna is calling on New York State legislators to pass the Compassionate Care Act. Donna has secondary-progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS) and as a result, suffers from hearing loss, blindness in one eye, and back pain. Medications have proven to be ineffective in treating the symptoms; however, her doctors suggest that medical marijuana may be effective in managing her condition. The CCA will allow Donna to access the treatment she needs.

His family is calling for medical marijuana to be implemented in New York. Tony has been diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a form of epilepsy, at the age of 2 years and suffers from seizures. He has been on countless medications with limited positive outcomes and significant negative side effects. Research suggests that medical marijuana can be the help he needs.
